Odyssey Cup (Navy Blue)

Artist Pyeon Sojung created a new series at a reasonable price to popularize lacquerware.

The cup is the first work of the ‘Harta - Odyssey’ series, which means a long journey full of experiences. Made of cloth, clay, lacquer, and glutinous rice, this cup is finished with 8 layers of lacquer.

Because it is a small cup, it can be used in a variety of ways, not only as a water cup, but also as a drinking glass, a fruit cup, and a small bowl for soup or pre-dinner food. It looks small, but the 200ml capacity is enough to hold various drinks. It's hard, but has some elasticity so it doesn't break, so you can use it without worrying about damage.

Artist Pyeon Sojung is a young artist who graduated from Seoul National University's College of Fine Arts and Graduate School and obtained the 2018 Cultural Heritage Repair Technician's lacquer painting. She presents craftwork with a modern sensibility completed with traditional lacquer technique and the artist's original technique, and presents a concave plate series with various colors and textures, as well as a plate series and soban series.

<Various Colors in a Simple Form> is characterized by being beautiful to be used as an object of space. Under the vision of <a new daily life made with crafts art>, Pyeon Sojung proposes everyday crafts completed with the artist's delicate touch to everyone who loves their space, and expands into various areas such as living design in the future. She is exploring to see if she can create possibilities of how crafts can be used as decoration.

After washing with a neutral detergent using a soft cotton cloth or sponge, remove moisture sufficiently.

Soaking in water for a long time may cause deformation.

Microwave ovens, dishwashers, ovens and other heat sources are not allowed.

It may be damaged by a strong impact.

Hot food, raw food, oily food, strongly colored food can all be used.
