Inspired by the traditional Korean moon jar, this dry diffuser is a harmonious blend of heritage and contemporary design. The imperfect moon jar has long been a symbol of simplicity and balance in Korean ceramics. In this piece, the artist sought to translate that timeless aesthetic into a contemporary context by applying a unique white texture that emphasizes both the purity of form and the tactile feel of the piece.

The matte finish invites the viewer to engage with the piece beyond its visual elements, creating a sensory experience that reflects the meditative presence of the moon jar.

By incorporating the diffuser function, the object is not simply a visual focal point; it interacts with its surrounding space through scent and form, providing a subtle yet profound connection between object, environment, and user. This fusion of traditional form and contemporary utility reflects my ongoing exploration of how time-honored craftsmanship can find relevance and expression today.

In creating this piece, the artist wanted to create more than just a functional object; he also wanted to infuse it with a soul that speaks to those who appreciate the beauty of craftsmanship and the authenticity of human touch.

The diffuser releases scent into the air, quietly reminding us of the thoughtful craftsmanship behind it, and offers an invitation to pause and reflect, rather than simply provide a scent. We hope that this piece evokes a deep and personal connection, and that it becomes a valuable part of the space it is in, beyond its practical function.

THE FEATURES OF HAND-CRAFTED CERAMICS
Each object has a slight difference in pattern, shape and size due to the nature of pottery wheel production.
There may be a difference in the flow marks or the thickness of the glaze from the glazing process.
Iron in the clay or glaze can cause brown or black spots on the surface.
In the process of kiln firing, marks from air bubbles, glaze, etc. may appear on the surface.
As ceramic products are used, fine cracks may appear
on the surface.

PRECAUTIONS WHEN USING CERAMICS
Matte ceramics may be vulnerable to scratches.
Light colored porcelain surfaces and non-glazed parts are susceptible to stains if exposed to colored liquids for a long time.
Do not leave in water for long periods of time, and wash as soon as possible after use.
When cleaning use a cleaning tool made of a soft material.
Scratch may occur when using metallic cleaning tools.
After washing dry it well, and store it in a well-ventilated place.
